Your Plan for Voting on Election Day

Step 1: Check if you're registered
Before you go, visit mi.gov/vote to check if you are registered at your current Ann Arbor address.
If not, register online (before 10/22/24)

Step 2: Learn about your choices
Visit MIvoter.org. Enter your address and choose “Endorsed Candidates” to get information about the Democratic candidates on your actual ballot.
All candidates are endorsed by College Democrats at University of Michigan and the Washtenaw County Democratic Party.
Step 3: Find where to vote
Option A: Your Polling Place
If you're registered, vote at your assigned polling place.
To find your polling place, visit MIvoter.org
Type in your address
Click on “How to Vote” and then “In Person.”
Avoid long lines between 7 AM and 9 AM. Peak hours are around 10 AM and later.
What to take with you:
Identification such as your MCard (student ID), driver’s license, state ID, or passport
No ID? you can still vote by signing an affidavit affirming your identity.
Option B: City Clerk's office
If you're not registered, you can register and Vote all at once at these locations:
City Clerk at City Hall: 7 AM - 8 PM
Pop-up Clerk at UMMA: 7 AM - 8 PM
Pop-up Clerk at Pierpont/Duderstadt: 7 AM - 8 PM
What to take with you:
Photo ID (MCard, Michigan driver’s license, State ID, passport).
Proof of Residency: Bring one of the following:
Michigan driver’s license or state ID with your current address.
Utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document with your address.
Wolverine Access address if you live in Ann Arbor.
Step 4: Vote!
If you’re in line by 8 PM, you’re allowed to vote, no matter how long it takes for you to get a ballot.
Step 5: Encourage your friends
Tell your friends how quick and easy it was for you to vote, and encourage them to do the same as soon as possible!
